Welcome Ashley Kirby to the St. Elmo Team
We want to extend a warm welcome to the newest member of the 1885 Grill St. Elmo family, Ashley Kirby! While she may be new to St. Elmo, Kirby is a long-time member of the restaurant family. She started her career in the industry at only 15 years old, working as a host at Carrabba’s Italian Grill. During her almost 12 years with the restaurant franchise, Kirby worked her way through virtually every position- host, carside orders, server, bartender, key, and line cook before serving as manager.
Eager to be reunited with Miguel and her work family, Kirby made the jump from corporate life and joined The FEED Co. Table & Tavern team in 2018 as a front of house manager. As a female in a primarily male dominated industry, she brings a fresh perspective and attention to detail that is reflected everything she does. A pro at wrangling the team, her loving and compassionate nature embodies our principals and beliefs.
The fast-paced environment and long hours can make her job difficult and demanding, but it’s the people- both staff and guests alike that keep her coming back. “The restaurant industry is filled with such different personalities and its awesome to see how it creates such a melting pot of people that ultimately become a “dysfunctional” family.”
While she is proud to serve as a leader of our team, her greatest title is that of mom. Outside of work Kirby spends her time chasing around her feisty and energetic 3-year-old son, Ezra. Keeping an eye on her tiny daredevil is a full-time job, as he can frequently be found sliding headfirst down playground slides or terrorizing pups- Roxie, Queso Blanco, and Harley.
A North Georgia native, Kirby enjoys boating and being outside. She is also a Halloween enthusiast and never misses an opportunity to decorate, dress-up or even incite a prank or two.
We are thrilled to have Kirby on the St. Elmo team and know that you will soon see why she’s so special to our restaurant family!
